Since its inception in 1998 with only handful of members, GA-APPNA has gone through many changes and crossed significant organizational milestones. In year 2000 GA- APPNA hosted the national convention for APPNA under the leadership of Dr. Mohammed Arshad, and continued to progress with the hard work of past presidents Dr. Haider Shirazi, Dr Javed Saeed, Dr. Farooq Akbar and Dr. Haroon Rasheed.

Under the presidency of Dr Shahid Rafique and Dr. Mirza Ahmed it became more dynamic and regular, holding several cultural / musical evenings and professional meetings. During his presidency Dr. Khalique Rehman very skillfully developed the current GA-APPNA website and still instrumental in managing it.

In recent years GA-APPNA became significantly active in interfacing with various local political and community fronts yet staying aligned with the best interest of its membership. Under the leadership of Dr. Yaseen Abubaker, last year it received official recognition and proclamation from state of Georgia. Current president Dr. Adnan Abbasi successfully orchestrated health fair day in June of 2010 as a part of national initiative on behalf of parent organization- APPNA.

GA-APPNA envisions continuous growth and strengthening with the support of its membership and dedication of its leadership in the years to come.
